Adaptive Diving

Lean Scuba Chicago is proud to be a certified adaptive scuba shop. We know how awesome scuba diving is, regardless of any challenges a person may face, we are passionate about bringing scuba diving to everyone.

Captain Bob is a Handicapped Scuba Association certified instructor, and the entire instructor staff are NAUI Adaptive certified instructors and several members of the staff are certified disability diver buddies. This means that we can offer scuba adventures and in most cases, certify individuals with a variety of disabilities including the blind and deaf, amputees, paraplegics, quadriplegics, and people with autism or traumatic brain injuries.

Our adaptive programs provide specialized and individual attention. Safety is our number one concern. Each person presents unique circumstances, so call the shop to set up some time with a member of our Community Programs team to discuss a training plan that is tailored to you. There are a variety of certifications available, so let’s find out together which one is right for you.
